A native British wildflower of damp meadows, grassland and woodland clearings. Its blue flowers are produced from May to June and are popular with beneficial insects, bees, butterflies and moths, and other pollinators. It grows to 70cm tall and 30cm across in moist but well-drained soils and full sun or partial shade.
