This European wildflower is popular with beneficial insects, bees and other pollinators. It is equally happy trailing in a container or as ground cover, but avoid areas that are particularly prone to slug or snail damage.
It grows to 15cm tall and spreads to 60cm in full sun or partial shade and a well-drained soil. Like most ground cover plants, this one can keep spreading beyond the area where you wanted it including into the cracks in paving and walls. The mauve blue flowers are produced from June to October.
