Thai basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Thai Large Leaf')) will give your curries an authentic Thai floavour and these plants are great to grow on a windowsill over the winter. Keep picking the leaves (especially the growing tips) and these plants will last for over a year.

Place on a sunny windowsill in autumn / winter and harvest the leaves regularly. Move the pot away from window when the weather heats up to help prevent the plant from bolting (flowering).
 
Water well and then allow the compost surface to dry out in order to reduce the risk of getting fungus gnats (harmless but annoying tiny black flies).
