This gorgeous primula produces a cowslip-like head of orange and red flowers from March onwards. Grows to 25 cm tall, when flowering, and 25cm across in moist but well-drained soils and partial shade. In times of drought, apply a mulch to the soil surface to prevent the roots drying out.
