A native British wildflower of grasslands and meadows. The flowers are popular with beneficial insects, bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators. The seed heads provide food for garden birds and the leaves are eaten (but not decimated) by one of our native moths.
Grows to 60cm tall and 30cm across in full sun or partial shade and a moist but well-drained soil, and will keep spreading particularly in a fertile soil. It produces masses of white and yellow flowers from June to August.
