Also known as Silene chalcedonica. This European wildflower is popular with bees, butterflies and moths. From June to August this hardy perennial plant produces clusters of red/orange flowers on tall stems above open foliage. It grows to 1m tall and 50cm across in well-drained soils and full sun or partial shade.
