This small shrub has pink and purple flowers that are popular with bees, and stunning golden leaves with red stems. Grows to 1m tall and 1m across in full sun or partial shade and moist but well drained soils. Flowers from June to September.
Prune in April to leave plenty of time for new growth before flowering. Remove any dead or damaged branches then cut back last year's flowering stems to within one or two buds of the woody framework of the shrub.
