Bees and butterflies love the flowers, while bird and squirrels love the seed. The seed are also great roasted and added to flapjacks, muesli and many other dishes. Grows to 1m tall and 30cm across in full sun and a moist but well-drained soil, and responds well to extra compost or manure. The sunny yellow flowers are produced from July to October.
We provide each plant with a copper collar to help keeps the snails at bay. As the plant grows the collar will ping up and we recommend join it back up so the ends of the copper are touching to keep protecting your plant.
