Dill is particularly delicious with seafood or in a potato salad and this dwarf variety (Anethum graveolens 'Nano') is great to grow on a windowsill over the winter. Place on a sunny windowsill in autumn / winter and harvest the leaves regularly. Move the pot away from window when the weather heats up to help prevent the plant from bolting (flowering).
 
Water well and then allow the compost surface to dry out in order to reduce the risk of getting fungus gnats (harmless but annoying tiny black flies).
