Daylilys perform brilliantly in a broad range of soils including heavy clay, coping well with both water-logging (but not permanently wet) and periods of drought (but not predominately dry).
This one grows to 90cm tall and 60cm across in full sun or partial shade and the clump can be divided every few years. It will die back completely over winter and return in early spring. The orange flowers are produced from July to August.
This plant has great levels of resistance to pests and diseases generally, and is not attacked by lily beetles, so is great for pesticide-free gardening.
