This plant is popular with beneficial insects, bees butterflies and other pollinators, and provides seed for garden birds. It grows to 30cm tall and 20cm across in full sun and a moist but well-drained soils. Gorgeous red-orange flowers are produced from July to October (dead head to prolong flowering).

The petals can be used in salads.
