This native British wildflower is popular with bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators. It is also a foodplant for the cuckoo spit insect, the red-and-black froghopper, and caterpillars of the marbled clover moth (found over the border in Wiltsire).
It grows to 80cm tall and 45cm across in full sun and a well-drained soil. It producesits unusual white and purple flowers from May to September.
